The scent of wedding plans lingers, and big creative plans

The heat continues, a long span of heat wave days.

The scent of the wedding flowers, abundant greenery. Our kitchen
commandeered by a bride-to-be and her bridesmaid.

It is frequently used for alternative creative pursuits. Not always
cooking.

In recent times it has been the site of producing Eco-wraps for Bec
to sell at markets and privately.

It has been a place to produce my gelatine printmaking plates, for
workshops first. Then for kits to sell, and some back orders as well.

The pantry does get raided too, for food dyes for printmaking, spices
for colour, and tea for tea washes to stain paper nicely and overprint.

It was an early trip to the flower markets at Flemington.  Armed with a couple of
sturdy buckets to haul home the floral booty. Each surface
of the kitchen is covered, benches, tables and stools.

One idea being played with, is foliage wrapped candles
with lace ribbon to be placed on the cocktail tables.

Dahlias, ferns, eucalypt sprigs, Babies Breath etc.

Experimenting with large swags of foliage with threaded in blossoms.
Nice above a doorway, window or arbour.

Bobbie is surrounded by this activity, but he doesn't mind and becomes
quite caught up in the moment, rolling around playfullyy with his toys like a kitten.

He's always there, adding his input.

Exciting for me if nobody else. This is real progress. I have made successfully a large Gelatine plate for Gelli printing. This would be woth well over a hundred dollars commercially.

It had to be made in 2 bonded layers, the first being not level, I made sure by using a spirit level
on an aluminium straight edge, the final product is completely level. It is about 20 x 26cms
and that is a good size, closer to A4. Better for making artworks suitable for exhibiting.
It is also thicker too, and will be durable at 1cm thick.

I now am now buying Glycerine in bulk, thereby cost cutting on materials.
Next aim is to get Gelatine in bulk.
