More Darwin in pictures.

Pretty Turkey Bush, at the gate of Deb's property.

A mural of the bombing of Darwin.

A shark cruising back and forth at our wharf dinner. Barramundi and chips for dinner.

 Sunset at Mindil Beach.

Dragonfly logo. Outside the botanical gardens.

Enormous vine covered tree, near entrance to gardens.

 Desert Rose.

 The best 3 storey treehouse!

Jasmine Jan's studio/gallery. She does her artwork and sells for other artists too,
on the edge of a waterlilly filled lagoon.

Frank's dragon, in Jasmine's garden, filled with sculptures, straight from his
metal recycling yard. Some baby dragons on their way.

Humpty Doo Pub, classic - where's Crocodile Dundee?

Yes folks - Scouts are everywhere.

 Berry Springs, wonderful buttress roots.

Howard Springs, turquoise waters, swimming with the fishes.

Berry Springs, leading into the nature walk.

Cycads, girls and boys. Below, the tragic tourist ensemble, daggy hat, and my new slappers, or thongs. There are turtles and giant Baramundi in the water next to me.

More Darwin experiences in pictures.

 Interesting bark texture.

 Hanging decorations for Darwin Festival.

A view from the art gallery balcony at lunch.

 Prisoner's graffiti board.

 Botanical colour.

Shopfront decorated tile. Red Tailed Black Cockatoo.

Dry season, and lots of fire and smoke.

Pretty mauve Turkey bush, the silver undersides shown of a Grevillea. Smoke behind.

 Racing fire along roadside.

Deb's printmaking studio. A very well kitted out facility.

A blast from the past, my copper artwork from an aeon ago.

Burnt out Pandanus palms look striking.

 Colourful rendition of Darwin's logo.

At Darwin's wharves, the strong military presence. Right next to the
dining precinct, looking over a large calm harbour.

Darwin

Home again from a trip to Darwin. Excellent guide in Deb, who I stayed with.

Here are some pics, from a different environment and climate.

 Finding Nemo?

 Underwater Basket Weaving art installation.

Pandanus Spiralis.

At The Raptor Flight Show a Jabiru comes in.

Coastal Porcelanite rock formation, beautiful colours.

 Nice logo.

A heritage building in old jail showing Porcelanite stone blocks.

Something for nearly all the senses, using bitumen in situ. Smell, sight, texture.

Frank at his metal recycling facility, with his baby dragon sculpture in progress.
Below at Coolalinga Markets, Deb with a colourful local.
