Our furry family

Meet Bobbie and Chester, the other members of our family. I'll get onto 'the girls' later, our 5
Chinese Silky Bantam hens.

As with most of our pets, save for mice and guinea pigs, nearly all are ones that needed a home,
from pounds or friends who couldn't keep them. Bob was from a stray cat's litter, of 5 brothers.
He is 4 now, still thinks he's a kitten.

Chester is now rehomed for the 3rd time, being relinquished at 11 by retirees, to my Mum, to us.
As Mum lay dying she made me promise to take him on. He has now had his 14th birthday, and
gets fitter and healthier. He's very happy with us.

The cat and dog are like a Garfield and Odie cartoon, our cat is top dog, and wasn't amused at
the interloper. He tolerates the dog, well just. If he thinks we are not looking he'll give him a kitty
slap. Or block his way, or ambush him.

Chester gets along with any other animal or human. He was used to sharing a house and yard
with chooks, aviary and caged birds, ducks, cat, rabbits and guinea pig.

Bob likes to get involved with all members of the family, he thinks it's his job,
which included helping one of the girls with a school project, and rolling in
craft glue and needing to be shaved!

This is Bob fully grown back, he is a big boy, twice the size and weight of the dog.

Bob loves his grass garden, complete with catnip and cat mint.
He hides in here to watch the birds.

Although bob doesn't realise how big he is, he thinks he is entitled to fit into any basket.

We now are in the habit, of finding Cafes with outdoor catering, with dog.
This often involves ordering a side of toast for him.
