Printmaking, and Mother's Day

A fairly quiet, leisurely Friday printmaking. More prepping for
printing, than actual press time.

Admin work for me stapling together the workshop notes for
the Gelli workshops to come. Finished carving a lino plate, to
print next week.

Then the weekend, and Mother's day which was a rolling number
of activities and surprises all day. A really lovely day, and all my
children making a wonderful, thoughtful effort. Great gifts too,
some practical, some more glamorous.

Our other Michelle, developing her Sydney Harbour with bridge lino cut print.
On interesting paper and with the addition of Chine Colle. Then it will
be cut back further as a reduction linocut.

Son Ben stayed up late the night before Mother's Day, creating this 3D printed
bowl for the laundry for me, painting  a contrasting colour in the interior.

In the afternoon Bec surprised me with a sweet treat for afternoon tea. Decadent!
She made a wonderful soup for dinner with Tofu and rice noodles, lots of veg.

Sam bought these flowers for me, on our way back from a lovely brunch at
The Incinerator at Willoughby. Driving then to Sugarloaf Point for a lookout over
the water, boats and across from Seaforth. Found this nice leaf in the reserve there.

  1. Really a nice post on mother’s day!! One of my friends is a party organizer and she hosted a grand mother’s day bash at one of popular party venues in Chicago. We all had been invited there and had great time in the event.
