Bird Lady

Well there seems to be a recurring theme with my art.

Birds.

Don't know how or why this happened but there it is. For our last Printmaking exhibition I did a year of Bowerbirds. What is my favourite book currently -  Bowerbird by Sibella Court.

I do live in a wonderful bushland environment, bird life is abundant. We have 2 birdbaths to enjoy them.
I used to be a Foster Care and Rescuer for WIRES, and apart from possums, mainly looked after birds.

That was many years ago, but for the more recent years I have had a small group of chickens. Chinese Silky Bantams, very funny little chickens with different personalities.

I hear birds all day long, and at night the nocturnal ones too. Here are some of my bird artworks in various media.
