caustic baths, to create wonderful rust effects on a variety of materials.
Dipping or spraying these solutions, onto small stretched canvases, fabric,
paper, and other things.
Mahdi was very encouraging and generous, with explaining, or demonstrating
her techniques. She gave several small talks, and set up a table displaying her
artwork.
The possibilities seem endless, and everyone was very excited and happy. From
these 2 days, we made and gathered a lot of material, for future projects. Some
finished works others were still contemplating.
Lovely materials were given, many art materials for use on the days, and finally
also beautiful threads, to further embellish and stitch onto the canvases. A special,
little felted fabric needle collection, was given to each attendee.
I loved that organic, natural themes could be created.
Some of Mahdi's wonderful works.
The materials can be multiple dipped or in layers. Resist effects with crayon can be used
