A bit different this year, and some new and fun things, like a different
breakfast option. Bec made homemade waffles, and used her grandpa's
electric waffle iron. An impromptu outdoor kitchen set up on the deck.
Fresh berries, maple syrup and ice cream. Which was really lovely, but
took quite the edge off our appetites for the following lunch.
Still Christmas seems to have this tradition of too many leftovers and
groaning fridges right?
The corny Christmas tree photo didn't occur, as we couldn't get everyone
on the same day this year. So lots of individual shots instead.
Bobbie was a bit flat, not his usual animated self, we think his gift didn't
settle too well on his tummy.
Using plants for decor.
Everyone a little weary from a full-on year, but also many life successes. Marriage, engagement, house buying and improvements, our two girls and Mike pass Uni, Ben has a good job
and a lovely girlfriend, and explores further his photography and techniques.
Bobbie the predictable, a basket of gift-wrapping to sit in.
Bec cooks up a storm.
Everyone has a 19th-century gargoyle at breakfast right?
Bec's homemade vegetarian lasagne and potato salad.
Sam arrives from the airport after a Melbourne girl's trip and with a new friend.
Cute and colorful gift for Bec from Sam, a tiffin.
Bob paces himself with a cat nap on gift wrap before food courses.
His main job is to dispose of the prawn bits when peeling.
Ben introduces his pet, Philbert, a young Bearded Dragon.
A vintage 'not an elf on a shelf'.
We have 2 water dragons, they need to keep cool. However it is dangerous for them
to get out of the pool, so measures have been put in place. Success!
