I have been going to a really nice art venue, Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre
in my suburb. It is a gorgeous old mansion, nicely renovated. It has a designated
print studio.
There is a very nice bunch of creative women there, led by our very inspirational
print leader John. I told a really bad joke at Printmaking the other day. 'You must
have too much on your plate, he he that's a really bad Printmaking joke!"
I promised it would be my only joke of the day. I am gradually finding my way,
having tried Linocuts, Collographs, Drypoint and Woodblock.
None of my prints are exhibition standard yet, but hopefully will be one day. I have
a studio at home which is chockablock full of equipment, mainly from my community
art teaching days, and that is the frustration.
Where the heck is my stuff! I just go in there and dig a bit deeper each day.
This is an artwork of mine, although it looks like a screen print, it is actually a gouache painting, with ink. It was at my first solo art show. |
